My name is Tommy Schroeder and I am the head coach of the Gem State Falcons. I grew up outside of Milwaukee, WI and have been active in adaptive sports since I was 10 years old. I have played at many different levels of basketball including college and internationally.
I have had the opportunity to coach different teams either as head coach or assistant coach. I have coached many younger kids aged from 6-17 in Wisconsin, Spain, Phoenix and now here in Idaho. I enjoy seeing a new player “click” when they learn something new or see how to go about something differently. One of the things I enjoy most about coaching is that I am able to use basketball as a tool to teach younger kids how to apply learnings on the court to techniques in everyday life.
We have an exceptional group of people and players here in the Treasure Valley. I look forward to seeing our growth and potential, not only on the court but off the court as well. We are looking forward to helping individuals that are unaware of adaptive sports and providing opportunities to get involved!
